One Saturday morning, the weather was sunny with a chill- perfect for a trip to the pumpkin patches- so we headed over to Sauvie Island with our neighbors to experience Kruger's Farm & Market. The drive over was beautiful and scenic and we got there just before all the crowds arrived.
We picked out some pumpkins and then hopped on the first hayride which took us around the farm and up to the patches where the pumpkins actually grow (instead of the area by the market where they are just lay on the ground to display). Later we shopped the market for fresh produce, found some amazing and HUGE honeycrisp apples, and Sophia took her first pony ride. I have to admit, I was completely skeptical as to whether she would actually get on the pony and thought we were going to pay $5 for nothing. She proved me wrong. She waited in the line, got to the front and then told Warren "Daddy, I ride the pony by myself." Wooo-wee, little ms. thing is all grown up. She hopped on the pony and rode it like a pro- smiling the whole way, waving to us and yelling "Hi Mommy, Hi Daddy" at all the appropriate camera moments :)
