Tree Picking

After last year's disappointment, we made sure we were picking a legitimate place from which to chop a proper Christmas tree from. We wanted something up in the mountains, authentic but still had amenities like bathrooms and possible hot chocolate. And we found all that in the Christmas Mountain Tree Farm. Just a 30 minute drive (although for half of it you honestly think must be just around the corner) and it's like you're in a different land. We were up in mountains (well, in my opinion they were very tall hills), it was sunny but very crisp and chilly, and there were thousands of beautiful trees. We could even see Mt. Rainier (think it was Rainier, maybe it was St. Helens...hmmm I know it wasn't Hood and it was one of the other big ones). It was cold but lovely.
The bumpy and fairly-fast-for-being-a-tractor ride took us away from the camp and out to the trees
