Legitimate Pumpkin Picking

I mentioned in an earlier post that picking a pumpkin out of a pile of pumpkins doesn't feel like legitimate picking. You have to rip it off the vine and out of the muddy patch to say you have actually picked your pumpkin. For the opportunity to rip off the vine and many other reasons, during the second weekend of October, we headed out to Sauvie Island to visit Kruger's Farm.

We went out to the farm, loaded the kids up,

 and hopped on the back of a tractor to go get us some pun'kins.

Our good friends and neighbors, the Yan family, came with us again. They introduced us to Kruger Farms last year. (And the Living Social half price coupon you can get :)

Despite my best efforts to grab her attention, I was no match to the fun of kicking pumpkin leaves.

We made it to the lookout tower and then decided to head back before we could actually get lost.
