The week plus down there was spent enjoying Nana and Papa and friends. Sophia got to take little Red (my parent's dog) on walks, go for trips to the donut shop with Papa, and practice riding her bike. Eleanor mastered learning how to slide down the stairs in my parents house, and how to climb up the slide at the park.
In between eating some our favorite foods,
(Marianne's 10/20 ice cream at Royal Donuts in Burlingame)
we saw many of our favorite people. High school friends, old friends who live in CA again, friends whose babes I got to meet for the first time and extended family.

The pinnacle event of the trip had to be going to Happy Hollow on a perfectly sunny spring day.
We spent the whole morning and afternoon outside in the fresh air and sunshine. The girls went on rides, ran around, saw the puppet show and best of all our good friend Alice and her son Stiles were able to be there with us.
Riding Danny the Dragon
And the evening was capped off by my date night with my bestie Andrea. Burgers, milkshakes...we packed it in and laughed so much that evening, I'm sure other patrons found us obnoxious.
We drove back over two days with our traditional stop at the Holiday Inn Express in Medford which is next door to the Harry and David's country grocery store. This year's stop to the store landed us an Easter ham and turkey for 50% off. A tasty end to a trip that was filled with fun.
